Brady received his degree in Business Administration and Mathematics from Pikeville College. He began his career in mortgage lending in 1972. In 1992, he realized his long-time dream by establishing First Mortgage Co., Inc. in Lexington, Ky.

In 2007, First Mortgage Company merged with First Federal Bank and is now operating as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bank.

Brady and his wife, Glenda, live in Lexington. Their son, Gerald, is a senior in high school. In Brady's spare time, he enjoys restoring old cars and is a member of the Bluegrass Skeet and Sporting Clays Club. In the past, Brady has been the President of the Thoroughbred Kiwanis, the Lexington Optimist Club, and the Lexington Mortgage Bankers Association. Over the years, he has been active in various community service organizations and volunteers his time whenever possible.
